Pumpkin came to us in an unorthodox way; found on the highway as a tiny kitten, he leaped into my son's car the moment the car door opened to rescue him. He brought him home where my husband was recovering from an operation. This wee orange fur ball curled up at his neck for a solid two weeks ... they healed and bonded together. I have painted Pumpkin many times; the first time from life as he slept on my studio chair and I happened to have the right colours on my palette.
