"Get Back Stare", was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the August 2020 BoldBrush Painting competition.
Preparing for a gallery show and then back east on family events meant no painting for a month so, when the opportunity to paint a live model in a sustained pose for 4 hours came up just days after I arrived home, I jumped on it! I was conscious of the tendency to be tight and insecure in a large group, but, with 4 hours there is plenty of time to relax and explore a bit. I stayed loose, enjoyed the music and was very inspired by our lovely model.
