Our paddock is a quiet and appealing place for hiding treasures. I found this little hidden jewel after we had been away on holidays. Being careful not to disturb the new fawn, I quickly went for my camera, while my husband kept an eye out for her protective Mother's potential return. I have been looking forward to painting this sweet scene ever since!
In the Okanagan inspiration is everywhere ... right from my deck I am surrounded with stunning views, wildlife and my industrious neighbour’s wonderful livestock. This dude rules the chicks next door. Free Runner and 15 oil paintings will appear in my upcoming Exhibition:
August 4th to 27th, 2011
Armstrong Spallumcheen Art Gallery
3415 Pleasant Valley Road, Armstrong, BC.
Opening Reception: August 5th, 7 - 9pm

If you are lucky enough to live in God's Country, I would love to see you at the Artists Reception on Friday August 5th from 7 - 9pm. If you are not local then perhaps a visit to the warm and sunny Okanagan is in order!
This is the final painting of seven that I created in the last three months of 2009. The holidays were busy and I did not get to posting them all. I have one more to post from 2009 in a couple of days.
It is ski season now and I will strive to strike a balance between skiing and painting although it may be weighted a bit more on the ski side!
