I found this scruffy collie resting in the shade when I was at an open air market in Monpazier, France. Le Chien was among my new paintings at the Art in the Garden show yesterday. Over 300 guests walked through the garden arbour on a pleasant sunny day to view the many paintings, sculptures and raku pottery on display.
Thank you everyone who came to the show. Your support, conversations, interest and purchases are so very appreciated!

Last weekend I had the good fortune to have a picnic with my family on my Father's family homestead in Saskatchewan. We had not been there for many years and last year we located the family farm with lots of history sleuthing and GPS help, but sadly, I arrived without camera or paints. I longed to return so when the opportunity arose I made sure to bring my paints and camera. The weather was beautiful and the ever present Saskatchewan wind mercifully blew away the mosquitoes enabling us to enjoy every moment of this special place seemingly frozen in time.
Art in the Garden Show and Sale is this Sunday July 20th. If you find yourself in the sunny Okanagan, please stop by! Click here for show details
